Scale Modeller, YouTuber, and Author.
Tam is not actually an author – he is, by his own admission, simply a talented amateur writer. Okay, Okay... an amateur writer then, and a professional scale modeller based in Spalding, Lincolnshire.
He has been building scale models since the age of eight, when his aunt bought him a copy of Scale Modelers Handbook by Chris Ellis – a gift that ignited a lifelong passion for modelling, which would later inspire him to put pen to paper too.
His interests include scale modelling, sport, photography, filmmaking, and divorce. His writing has been described as “similar to what happens when you headbutt a keyboard, then add grammar and pictures.”
He remains his own harshest critic, rarely takes his own advice, and is the operator of both a popular scale modelling YouTube channel and a persistent case of high blood pressure. He suspects the two are inextricably linked.
Alongside his writing, Tam works as a professional scale modeller accepting commissions for custom builds, repairs and full restorations – and is a recognised specialist in Messerschmitt BF109 aircraft models.
